ABENA is seeking an experienced and strategic Global Supply Chain Manager to drive the development of ABENA’s global supply chain operations together with the COO. This is a newly created position as part of our strategy to consolidate our supply chain activities globally under one department.
We are looking for you with a strong background in supply chain management, logistics, and global operations, who can drive inventory management across the Principal to ensure optimized warehouse utilization and cash flow with a high focus on delivery performance.
You will develop processes for the global supply chain, including procurement, master data, logistics, warehousing, and transportation for our global ERP project.
A critical aspect of your role will involve optimizing transportation costs by ensuring that the right goods are available in the warehouses. To facilitate, plan, and optimize material flow, providing data to support decision-making, forecasting to suppliers, and conducting supply and demand analysis will also be your responsibility.
Collaboration is key in this position; you will work across business units, regions, and technical departments to identify and develop efficiency potentials. Additionally, you will focus on optimizing direct deliveries to enhance our overall supply chain efficiency at ABENA.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Identify and leverage best practices in commercializing supply chain in the ABENA Group
- Develop and implement global supply chain strategies that align with business goals and objectives
- Lead the global supply chain analytics team
- Requirement specifications from the Principal to ERP
- Participate in SAP deployment
- Lead and document change management initiatives from ERP decision in Supply Chain
- Optimize inventory levels and reduce costs through effective supply chain planning and management
- Lead and foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation
- Develop and monitor the forecasting process (IBP)
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, finance, and operations to ensure alignment and support for supply chain initiatives
- Develop metrics to monitor and support improved delivery performance
- Continuously align strategy with the COO and monitor and analyze supply chain performance metrics to identify areas of improvement and implement corrective actions
We are looking for you with the following qualifications:
- You have a master-degree within Supply Chain, Procurement, or Logistics
- Strong understanding of supply chain processes, logistics, and international trade regulations
- Minimum 5 years of experience from global company(ies) within Supply Chain
- English skills: verbally and in writing professional/negotiation level
- Proven experience in strategic planning, project management, and process optimization
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
