Then don't hesitate to apply for the position as Global Sourcing Manager for Bed Protection, Fixation, and Incontinence.
ABENA is seeking a Global Sourcing Manager to provide daily support to the team in assortment management, development, launch of new products, as well as documentation. You will be responsible for sourced products within the categories of Bed Protection, Fixation, and feminine hygiene, as well as coordinating other sourced Incontinence products. The role also involves test development, dialogue, and coordination with suppliers. You will be responsible for ensuring documentation and permits for the sale of medical equipment. Additionally, you will be required to drive smaller independent projects.
We expect you to be proactive and independent, preferably with experience in procurement, thus contributing to driving our sourcing strategy with commitment and professionalism.
You can expect your main tasks to include:
- Daily support for our sales organization and subsidiaries
- Direct communication with new and existing suppliers
- Release of goods in accordance with procedures
- Efficient management of goods logistics in line with scheduling plans
- Obtaining, archiving, and distributing supplier documentation in accordance with ISO certification and MDR in collaboration with our product specialist in the team
- Eventually responsible for the daily operation of sourced goods
- Coordination of marketing materials in connection with existing and new sales, e.g. approval of marketing materials
- Maintenance of data sheets and product master data regarding technical specifications
- Daily tasks in AX, PIM, and SAP
We would like you to:
- have the ability to understand products and developments in the industry
- see opportunities rather than limitations
- have a solid numerical and analytical understanding
- have good project management skills
- be structured with a good sense of order
- be able to communicate at all organizational levels in English (German is also an advantage)
In addition, due to various supplier and customer needs, especially from Asia, there may be requirements for working hours reflecting differences in time zones, which naturally entails greater flexibility in normal working hours.
