If so, you might be the Global Order Planner we are looking for at ABENA.

At ABENA, we are looking for a Global Order Planner dedicated to our road transport team who takes a structured and analytical approach to planning and has a solid understanding of how to balance demand, supplier performance, inventory levels, and service requirements within road-based logistics.

In this role, you will ensure an efficient flow of goods by planning and managing purchasing activities based on master data, demand patterns, and business needs. Balancing factors such as lead times, order quantities, pricing, and inventory levels. You will translate data and system parameters into everyday decisions, working with key planning principles such as reorder points, safety stock, and EOQ, while also improving data quality and planning accuracy.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Plan and place purchase orders to make sure products are available when needed
  • Follow up with suppliers on deliveries, delays, and documentation
  • Keep track of stock levels and help avoid both shortages and overstock
  • Handle order confirmations, invoices, and transport documents
  • Maintain and update product and supplier data in the system
  • Answer questions from colleagues about delivery times and availability
