At ABENA, we are strengthening how we lead, structure, and develop our organization across our global business.
We are in a period of significant development — with increased focus on structure, scalability, and clearer ways of working. At the same time, we are building a stronger and more consistent HR foundation across the business.
As the organization evolves, so does the need for strong, close support to leaders — particularly on the people side of change. From organizational structure and leadership decisions to engagement and performance, the HR Business Partner plays a key role in ensuring that the organization develops in step with the business.
We are therefore looking for a Group HR Business Partner who can operate close to the business and take an active role in this journey.
This is a role for someone who thrives in the intersection between business priorities, leadership support, and hands-on HR execution.
A role with real business impact
As our new Group HR Business Partner, you will work closely with Directors in assigned business areas, acting as a trusted advisor on people, organization, and leadership.
You will play a key role in supporting a more structured and professional way of working across the organization — translating Group HR direction into practical solutions that work in the business.
The role combines strategic sparring with operational execution. You will not only advise — you will also help make things happen.
You will:
- Act as a trusted HR partner to Directors, supporting decision-making on people, organization, and leadership
- Provide hands-on support across the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, performance, and employee relations
- Support and challenge leaders on organizational structure, workforce planning, and team effectiveness
- Drive and support recruitment processes for key roles in your business areas
- Act as a link between Group HR and the business, ensuring consistent implementation of HR processes and standards
- Support organizational changes and transformation initiatives, ensuring strong leadership anchoring
- Facilitate and follow up on key people processes, such as engagement and development
- Contribute to Group HR projects and priorities (approx. 20% of your time)
What we hope you bring
- A relevant educational background within HR, Business Administration, Psychology or similar
- Solid experience from a role as HR Business Partner, HR Partner, or HR Generalist — typically from a mid-sized or large organization, preferably with an international or production-oriented context
- You are comfortable working close to senior leaders and take ownership of both advising and executing.
- A proven ability to operate both strategically and operationally in a complex environment
- Solid knowledge of employment law and core HR processes
- Strong stakeholder skills and the ability to build trust across organizational levels
- Experience supporting organizational changes and leadership in practice
- A structured and pragmatic approach — with the ability to get things done
- You are fluent in Danish and English.
Your team and working environment
You will join a Group HR function that is in the process of strengthening its role, structure, and impact across the business.
We take ownership, support each other in a busy environment, and work pragmatically to make things happen. There is a strong sense of responsibility, collaboration, and mutual trust in the team.
