We are offering a one-year limited-term position with the potential for extension, available for immediate filling.
Join us and be a part of pioneering research that shapes the future of genetic studies and personalized medicine.
Responsibilities: As a Senior Researcher, you will collaborate on genetic analyses with our international experts involved in the NORDTREAT and TARCID-CHB:IBD projects. Taking on the role of project coordinator for TARCID-CHB: IBD, you will integrate genotypes, registry data, and medical records from 470,000 Danes, including approximately 16,000 patients with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). This undertaking provides a distinctive opportunity to delineate patient diversity and contribute to enhancing IBD patient treatment. Through the identification of phenotypes indicative of e.g. severe disease progression, treatment response, or specific risks, comorbidity, personalized patient care can be optimized. The project is a collaborative effort between hospitals and universities in Denmark, Kiel, and Iceland, with active participation in the International IBD Genetic Consortium. Key components include collaboration with the Copenhagen Hospital Biobank, Danish Blood Donor Study, and TARCID (Targeted treatment of patients with Chronic Inflammatory Diseases). Your role involves project coordination, partnership management, formulation and development of individual sub-studies, initiation, analysis, and communication. The ability to travel is advantageous.
Additionally, you will play a vital role in advancing the research unit by securing funding, providing guidance to junior researchers, and participating in administrative tasks. Your workload will be distributed as follows: 60-80% research, 20-40% mentoring, and 10-20% administration.
